Jet Engines

The jet variety of engine is generally very powerful. It's why they're used a lot. You've probably been on a plane with a whole four of them before. But, how do they work?

In essence, air is sucked out of the front and pushed out at the back (save the dirty jokes please) with various compressions and reactions happening in the middle (stop giggling) to make it all work.

I feel like the below gifs (they may take a while to load) adequately explain the process without me needing to actually write much. Drinks all-round guys.
